UTC Swindon is an innovative, employer-focused, high-tech school for students aged from 14 to 19, specialising in Engineering and Digital technologies.
Students are able to follow their interest in either Engineering or Digital Technologies while studying GCSEs, A Levels and developing invaluable practical and work-readiness skills from the best in the industry that will give them a competitive edge. This is because Swindon has the support of local, high profile industry and academic partners such as Network Rail, MINI and Thames Water, who help to shape the curriculum and work closely with the students.
We believe that students who attend UTC Swindon are given the best start in a variety of progression routes. In 2017, Sixth Form students achieved a 100% A-Level pass rate and 97% of students leaving UTCs have stayed in education, begun an apprenticeship or started a job.
It is different to an existing traditional school – students can benefit from working with the latest technology, be in an environment that feels more like being at work than school and have access to leading industry links.
UTC Swindon is a member of Activate Learning Education Trust, a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) established by Activate Learning. Activate Learning Education Trust exists to deliver excellence in education and transform lives through learning. Our schools to date are UTC Swindon, UTC Reading, UTC Oxfordshire, Bicester Technology Studio and The Bicester School.
